Greater Stability

For those who require a full size van, but are also in need of greater stability, Quigley Motor Company offers a quality approved dual rear wheel (DRW) conversion. This is ideal for top heavy vehicles; such as Communication or Utility vans that have boom lifts or telescoping antennae.

Vehicle Requirements

GMC / Chevrolet vehicles cannot be converted to Dual-Rear-Wheel with GM's Stabilitrak system. This excludes all passenger vans from DRW conversion. Also all vehicles must have side swing out doors, not the optional slider door. Slider doors cannot open with the wider rear wheel axle. DRW conversion is for the G-3500 series regular and extended length cargo vans.

*NOTE: For 2010 model year, all GM vans will come standard with either a 3.42 or 3.54 rear gear ratio. Due to the unavailablitiy of either a 3.42 or 3.54 gear ratio in the GM 70 series dual rear wheel axle, Quigley Motor Company will install a rear drive axle with the 3.73 gear ratio. If the vehicle requires an IFS 4x4 system as well as a DRW conversion, the front American axle differential will have a 3.73 gear ratio as well.
